How to get to Toruń

There are many ways one can get to Toruń from other Polish major cities like Warsaw (Warszawa), Poznań or Gdańsk. In what follows we give an outline of how to reach Toruń from Warsaw. If you are planning another sort of trip and looking for a piece of advice, help or information - do not hesitate to contact the organizers (see: Contact).

Warsaw - Toruń by train

First you will have to reach the Central Station (Warszawa Centralna Station) from Frederic Chopin Airport (former Okęcie Airport). There are the following options:
By taxi - definitely the quickest and the most convenient way. You will find a taxi rank next to the airport exit. The following three taxi corporations cooperate with the airport and are recommended by the airport administration: Merc Taxi (phone: +48 22 677 77 77), MPT Radio Taxi (phone: +48 22 9191), Sawa Taxi (phone: +48 22 644 44 44). The average price of a course between the Airport and the Station is about 30 pln (~ 8 Euros).
MZA bus is the cheaper option. Municipal bus service (MZA) operate between the airport and Warszawa Centralna railway station seven days a week:
175 line operates 4:57 a.m. - 10:57 p.m. every 10-30 minutes (see new timetable (in English, but often crashes) from: Terminal 2, Terminal 1, Terminal Etiuda and (unfortunately in Polish, but work stable) : Terminal 2, Terminal 1, Terminal Etiuda (may need to choose day of the week: poniedziałek = "Monday", wtorek = "Tuesday", środa ="Wednesday", czwartek = "Thursday", piątek = "Friday", sobota = "Saturday", niedziela = "Sunday"))
